My weekly blog.
This was the first week of economics. So like every new class start you don't really do muck as in homework wise, but we had a lot of class work. We are all apart of Weserville the imaginary town based off of ms weser home town. Thomas and I are the town homeless people. We have an organized government a mayor, vice mayor, school board director and 5 counsel members. This week we were given 10 million $ to build something in Weserville, it has narrowed down to 2 ideas. shopping mall and apartments, or oil rig. personally i think the shopping mall thing is better but hey we need options. I think that this year in econ and personal finance will be very fun, being a hobo and all.
i disagree with your opinion on the town center. The oil has automatic jobs and basically will bring more money. While it is bringing money, then we can build your town center and whatever else we want. Obviously this decision has already been made so...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ben, at first I was all for the Town Center but then realized during today's in class discussion that drilling for natural gas would be a better investment. In the future after the gas company comes in and drills maybe that could lead to a need for a town center.
ReplyDeleteBy Ben you mean Bradley right? I also agree with Bradley that the natural gas extraction thingy is a better plan because not only will it bring people and jobs but also money for future WeserVille projects.
ReplyDeleteAt first I wanted the town center to be built, but after today I was more for the Oil Rigs. I think the class did a great job organizing their ideas and putting together a great debate.
ReplyDeleteThis year will be great. o:-) I can understand your groups reasons for a town center. I was torn. Both ideas were fine, but I was with natural gas because it was almost certain to succeed in striking it rich. At least now we can do both.
ReplyDeleteI agree that this year may be great but no of us can tell the future. I can understand the mall and how it would profit but unfortunately it would easily crash and be a lose of money instead of a profit.
ReplyDeleteThe natural gas discussion as mayor was the thing that won my vote. I was officially on the town center idea side but the natural gas beat us fair and square with great points.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, we got a lot of class work today, but we also have a lot of interesting work.
ReplyDeleteI was all for the town center but then i realized that weaserville wouldnt be any worse off if they bought the oil ridge
